Diploma in Graphic Design (DGD)
Diploma in Graphic Design is a practice-based course that develops creative mind, critical thinking, reflective, and technical skills enhanced by pertinent academic staff. The programme is distinguished by an emphasis on experimentation, versatility and technical expertise. Students are supported by industry-standard software, tutorial, workshops, and studio environments. The course encourages students to investigate, question and challenge the contemporary role of graphic design and understand the process, technique and management, to produce innovative, emotive, enduring and aesthetic designs through intense involvement in the design process. You will gain the confidence to understand, interpret and talk about the ground-breaking and iconic designs from the past and present. You will also learn how to present and defend your ideas and promote yourself and your work.

YEAR 1
Students will be introduced to the key aspects of the histories and theories of design, technical skills, design thinking and practice in graphic design. Students’ work will be supported by weekly technical demonstration sessions to enhance their digital skills. They will also be engaged in other practical workshops.
