The Doctor of Education (EdD) is a benchmark qualification in terms of researching professional policy and practice in the field of education. It is a doctoral degree for experienced professionals who would like to extend their professional understanding and develop skills in research. The programme will stimulate and transform their professional thinking and practice, whilst developing a deep understanding on education as a whole.

Entry Requirements
i. Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) in Education; or
ii. Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) other than Education and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education; or
iii. Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) other than Education and has a Diploma/Certificate in Teaching; or
iv. Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) other than Education with at least two (2) year teaching experience; or
v. Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) other than Education and pass three (3) bridging courses offered by the university; or
vi. Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Malaysian Government.
ii. Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) other than Education and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education; or
iii. Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) other than Education and has a Diploma/Certificate in Teaching; or
iv. Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) other than Education with at least two (2) year teaching experience; or
v. Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) other than Education and pass three (3) bridging courses offered by the university; or
vi. Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Malaysian Government.

APEL Entry
• Malaysian; AND
• The candidate should be more than 30 years of age in the year of application; AND
• Relevant work experience / prior experiential learning; AND
• Pass the APEL Assessment (Aptitude Test, Portfolio & Interview) conducted by OUM; AND
• Possess the following qualification:
- STPM / Recognised Diploma; Or
- Matriculation / Foundation (credit score 50-52 credits; GPA grade 2.00 and above; minimum study period of one year); Or
- A-Level (minimum of 3 courses; minimum grade E;duration of study at least 18 months); Or
- International Baccalaureate Diploma (minimum of 6 courses and 3 required elements; minimum grade of 24 points and above; duration of study at least 2 years).
• The candidate should be more than 30 years of age in the year of application; AND
