Foundation in Science

The new Foundation In Science programme is designed in such a way to equip the students with the necessary skills before they enroll for their degree programme. For instance, the foundation in science leading to biological science offers extensive studies in the biological field. The other streaming programmes offered are foundation in science leading to physical science and computer science. Both programmes offered a vast knowledge in the related field of studies. The students will have an early exposure on the subject matter before they join the degree programme in the following years. This will help the students to develop and improve their understanding by providing the basic knowledge in that area. As part of the teaching-learning strategy, students will have to undergo a few assessments as part of the continuous assessment. The continuous assessment component comprises a combination of tests, mid-term examination, laboratory reports, and a presentation which accounts for an allocation of about 40-50 marks depending on the course.
