Master of Science in Economics
The Master of Science in Economics programme is designed to produce competent graduates in research to meet market demand as well as the nation's needs. The Master of Science in Economics programme will offer students the opportunity to develop and enhance their skills in various research, ethics, professionalism and social advancement which is in line with the 11th Malaysia Plan 2016-2020 and Malaysian Education Blueprint for Higher Education (2015-2025). The design of the curriculum of this programme not only produces competitive human capital, but also allows students to develop their potential towards achieving the country's goals and objectives.

Entry Requirements
Minimum Entry Requirements
i) A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)) in the Economics or related fields with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Higher Education Provider (HEP) Senate; OR
ii) A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in the Economics or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
iii) A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in the Economics or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five years of working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment.
iv) Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (iii).
ii) A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in the Economics or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
iii) A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in the Economics or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five years of working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment.
iv) Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (iii).
English Language Requirements
1) Malaysian Students
MUET Band 3.5 or IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 40 or its equivalent; OR
Exemption of English Language requirement if the medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English
2) International Students
IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1, TOEFL iBT 40 its equivalent; OR
Exemption of English Language requirement if the medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English
