The Diploma in Quantity Surveying is recognised as an approved sub-professional qualification by BQSM/RISM. Graduates with Diploma in Quantity Surveying may be given exemption for the Foundation and First Examinations of RISM’s Professional Examinations for Quantity Surveying. They can then proceed to sit for the Intermediate and Final Examinations to be eligible for professional membership with RISM as Graduate Member.

Entry Requirements
(1) SPM
3 Credits in the relevant subjects which must include one mathematics subject
(2) O Level
3 Grade C in the relevant subjects which must include one mathematics subject
(3) UEC
3 Grade B in the relevant subjects which must include one mathematics subject
(4) Certificate
- Relevant Certificate accredited by MQA
- AND SPM Credit/O Level Grade C/UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject
- AND SPM Credit/O Level Grade C/UEC Grade B in Bahasa Melayu/Malay Language OR English Language where minimum SOM Pass/O Level Grade E (Pass)/UEC Grade C in the other subject is required
- AND SPM Credit/O Level Grade C/UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject
- AND SPM Credit/O Level Grade C/UEC Grade B in Bahasa Melayu/Malay Language OR English Language where minimum SOM Pass/O Level Grade E (Pass)/UEC Grade C in the other subject is required
Compulsory subject:

i) SPM Credit/O Level Grade C/UEC Grade B in Bahasa Melayu OR English Language where minimum SPM Pass/O Level Grade E(Pass)/UEC Grade C in the other subject is required

Note:
a) SPM holders must have at least a pass in Bahasa Melayu.
b) Students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A before the award of Diploma. This is applicable for students who have at least O Level Grade C or UEC Grade B in Malay Language but did not take SPM Bahasa Melayu.
c) SPM holders from the year 2013 onwards must have at least a pass in Sejarah.
d) Equivalent qualifications/qualifications from other Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
