The University provides scholarships to applicants with outstanding academic performance to pursue its MBBS Programme.

CRITERIAS
Academic Excellence
STPM / A-Levels: 4A's, or average grade point of 4.0000 over 4 subjects; or
UEC: 8A's; or
Canadian Pre-University: 95% for all subjects with a minimum of 6 subjects; or
South Australian Matriculation or equivalent: ATAR > 95; or
International Baccalaureate (IB): 7 points for every subject of 6 subjects (not including bonus point); or
UTAR Foundation Programmes: CGPA of 3.9000 and above.
English Language Proficiency
MUET band score of 4 or better
IELTS average band score of 6.5 or better
Financial Need
Documented evidence of the applicant’s family income must be provided
The combined annual income of the applicant/applicant’s spouse/applicant’s parents should not
exceed RM50,000.00.
Extra Curricular Achievements
The applicant should present documented evidence (awards and other certificates) of co-curriculum activities, leadership qualities, commitment to voluntary work and achievements in the fine arts or other forms of creativity.
Interview
Applicants will be interviewed by UTAR Scholarships and Loans Committee. Decision of the Committee is final.
Nature of Scholarship
The Scholarship would give 15% tuition fee waiver for the MBBS programme.
Number of Scholarships
Maximum of three scholarships are to be offered each year.
