The 13 ACCA exams are divided into 3 levels - Applied Knowledge, Applied Skills and Strategic Professional. Here at UOW Malaysia KDU, we aim to develop students to meet global standards and groom students to harness growth in a broad spectrum of skills ranging from technical, ethical and interpersonal skills and competencies vital for future job placements.

Applied Knowledge (3 Papers)

The Applied Knowledge exams provide students with a broad introduction to the world of finance and develop students’ essential understanding and techniques in accounting.

Applied Skills (6 Papers)

The Applied Skills exams build on existing knowledge and understanding while developing strong, broad and practical finance skills required for future strategic

professional accountant in any sector or industry.

Strategic Professional (4 Papers)

The Strategic Professional exams prepare students for future leadership positions. They develop the strategic vision using students’ unique blend of technical, ethical and professional skills. Students can specialise in areas that best suit their career ambitions.

 

Students must complete both Essentials exams and choose two of the Options.

Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM)

EPSM is an online learning module that tests students’ decision making and behaviour in a number of real-world business scenarios. The module uses realistic business simulations to develop a number of professional skills such as leadership, communication and commercial awareness.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Academic Qualification Requirement
A Levels* : 2Ds
STPM* : 2C+s
UEC : 5Bs inclusive of English and Mathematics
Diploma (Accounting and Business related) : Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
Foundation In Accountancy / Certified Accounting Technician : Pass (exempted from Applied Knowledge level)
Foundation Studies : Pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
Degree : Pass (exemptions up to 9 papers)
* In addition to the above mentioned requirements, the students must have obtained a credit in Mathematics and English at SPM level or its equivalent

ENGLISH REQUIREMENT
Local Student : Credit (SPM / 1119 / UEC / O Levels examination) ; Min. score of Band 4 in MUET

International Student : Band 6.0 in IELTS; or a min score of 60 (IBT) or 488 (PBT) in TOEFL ; or a score of 59 and above for Pearson English Test Malaysian students who do not possess the English requirement stated above, will have to attempt and pass a compulsory English module concurrently in the first semester of ACCA program.
