IUKL understands the worry of many students who look forward to pursue their higher education given the fact that there are simply too many deciding factors they cannot afford to ignore. Take this into account, IUKL offers three major options for fresh school leavers to further their study at ease. These options include Foundation Studies, Diploma and Advanced Standing arrangement.

A solid foundation for degree programmes

IUKL Foundation Studies could grant SPM or O-Level leavers the fastest access to a Bachelor’s degree programme. Its curriculum design is generally similar to the matriculation programme or A-level in terms of duration which it takes only one year to complete. Therefore, students will have the opportunity to continue their studies at the degree level in a shorter period of time. You can choose to pursue your foundation studies in either Science or Arts of which both will later lead you to progress into a wide range of IUKL degree programmes.

The Foundation in Science offers students two options to choose from – Engineering Option and Health Science option. For students who aspire to develop a career in the engineering field, the Engineering Option is for you, while the Health Science Option aims at laying a solid foundation for students who wish to be part of the health science industry.

Students undergoing this programme have a wide selection of degree programmes to enrol into. If they choose the Engineering field, they have Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Automobile Engineering, and more, while the Non Engineering field offers them degree options in the fields of Pharmacy, Food Science, Biotechnology, Agriculture and many more.

Whereas the Foundation in Arts provides students another two options - The Architecture Option offers a special pathway for students whose dream is to be a future professional architect. This option will require students to focus on architectural drawing, including the application of AutoCAD, Introduction to Architecture and Architectural Graphics, Painting and Sketching. The other option of the programme is designed for students who plan to involve in the area of Business Studies, Information Technology, and Language Studies. The basic modules compulsory are English, Communication, Psychology and Identification System and Computer Applications.

Students undergoing this programme would enjoy a broad option of degree programmes available to them such as Business, IT, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Network Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Advertising, Corporate Communication, English for Professional Communication, and Architectural Studies. This programme helps develop critical thinking and language skills. It also gives an insight into the field you choose for the degree programme.

Kick start a professional career with quality diploma programmes

IUKL Diploma programmes are designed to specifically develop SPM or O-Level graduates’ professional knowledge and skills in the particular area of study. These programmes’ curriculums are mostly two and a half years and are planned to bridge fresh school leavers directly to their interested field of study. Students graduated with an IUKL diploma could proceed to the second year of degree.

At IUKL, there are about 20 diploma programmes in various fields of study for you to choose from. These include engineering, architecture, quantity surveying, accounting, business administration, communication, TESOL, software engineering, IT, biotechnology and more.

Students with STPM, A-Level or UEC qualification are eligible for Bachelor’s degree programmes that will take up three to four years of study. At the moment, IUKL offers more than 25 degree programmes. These programmes, in the field of Engineering, IT, Architecture, Communication, Applied Science, Business and Accounting, are all formulated with the aim to equip students with advanced skills and knowledge required by the industry.

Engineering your future with flexible advanced standing programme

Advanced standing is a special arrangement IUKL has made in collaboration with some prestigious universities overseas including those in the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany and China.

Through this arrangement, IUKL students, regardless from the Foundation Studies, Diploma or Degree, could enjoy flexibility in their choice to study overseas. Degree students are even given the opportunity to continue one or two semester of study at the foreign university of their choice upon completing the first or second semester at IUKL. IUKL is your gateway to a world-class education.

Scholarships and Loans available

IUKL believes that education should be made available for everyone. Therefore at IUKL, we make your study more affordable. Scholarships and Tuition Fee Waiver of up to 60% are offered to students who excel in their studies. Study loans such as PTPTN, MARA and Yayasan Negeri are also available.  This will enable you to concentrate on performing well in your studies.
