Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), being the first Infrastructure University in Malaysia, which emphasizes the integration of both hard and soft aspects of infrastructure, aspires to produce technopreneurs and skilled manpower with outstanding communication, technological and managerial  skills. The strength of IUKL today stems from its rich history. For more than 15 years, IUKL has been providing quality education and excellent professional services in various fields of infrastructure.

Quality and recognized programmes

Rated as an “Excellent” (Tier 5) full-fledged university in the 2011 & 2013 MQA Rating System for Malaysian Higher Education Institutions (SETARA’11), IUKL offers programmes that are highly sought after  by the industry such as Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, Accounting, Information Technology, Corporate Communications, English Language Studies and Biotechnology. Equipped with other programmes such as Water and Wastewater, Geomatics, Landscape Architecture, Property Management, Information Systems, Multimedia, Software Engineering, Agriculture and Sports Management, IUKL provides a learning space for students to get ready for a bright future. This is evidenced by the 90% employment rate of IUKL students who graduate within 6 months.

Accreditation & Professional Recognition

The university’s programmes are recognised and accredited by professional bodies locally and abroad. The programmes are approved by the Ministry of Education Malaysia and MQA. Two of the university’s degree programmes, the Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) and the Bachelor of Electronics Engineering (Hons) are recognised by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and the Washington Accord, an international agreement among bodies responsible for accrediting engineering degree programmes.

IUKL also receives professional recognition from various local and international professional bodies – Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM), Land Surveyors Board (LJT), Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), CISCO, International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), among others. Routes connecting international education is also provided through the cooperation between IUKL and several international universities in the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, China, The Netherlands and Germany.

Scholarships & Loans

IUKL believes that education should be made available for everyone. There are 6 types of financial assistance available in the form of scholarship, tuition fee waiver, loans and flexibe payment scheme. All these are put in place to allow you to achieve your ambition at ease.

In addition to IUKL Scholarships, IUKL Sports Excellence Scholarship and Tution Fee Waiver Scheme, students can also appy for loans and scholarship from MARA, PTPTN and EPF, among others.

Clubs & Societies

The Student Affairs Division provides avenues for students to explore their interests with practical experience through activities organised throughout the year. There are more than 40 clubs and societies at IUKL. Participation in the clubs and socities provides hands-on experience for leadership and character development.

Career Development

The main aim of the IUKL Career Development unit is to help its students identify and choose the best career options available to them. The process of career planning and development starts as early as when the student begin their programme with IUKL.
