Malaysian Champions from Claz’room College to Represent at WorldSkills International
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 12 February 2025 – Malaysia has achieved a significant milestone in the field of 3D Digital Game Art, with Claz’room College students emerging as national champions in the discipline. Their victory marks Malaysia’s debut in this category at the prestigious WorldSkills International competition, highlighting the nation’s growing presence in the global digital and creative industries. This achievement underscores the country’s commitment to fostering talent and advancing technical skills on an international stage.
Claz’room students are set to represent the nation at the WorldSkills International competition.
The national competition, endorsed by the Ministry of Human Resources, challenged participants to display expertise across multiple disciplines, including 3D sculpting, modeling, UV texturing, and game engine preview. Competing against talents from institutions such as GiatMARA, Kolej Komuniti Selayang, Kolej Vokasional Kuala Selangor, and others, the champions distinguished themselves with their exceptional skills. The event also enjoyed the presence and support of Dato Kamil Othman, chairman of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS).

With their victory, the students now shift their focus to the international stage, with upcoming competitions in the Philippines, Taiwan, and China. They will undergo intensive training and mentoring to prepare for these events, showcasing the capabilities and potential of Malaysian talents.
The national 3D Digital Game Art competition spanned two days, totaling 16 hours without access to mobile phone or the internet. Testing skills of 3D Sculpting, Modeling, UV texturing, and game engine preview.
Pn. Molinda binti Abd Rahman, Promotional Director of Malaysia’s Department of Skills Development (JPK), commented on the significance of the event, “The WorldSkills competition provides a vital platform for Malaysian talents to shine and gain invaluable exposure. It also accentuates the value of TVET and skill-based education, which are becoming increasingly recognized as essential for the future of our workforce.”
