MONASH'S BMEDSCI/MD PROGRAMME RECOGNISED BY MEDICAL COUNCIL OF INDIA
The Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (BMedSc/MD) programme at Monash University Malaysia has been approved and recognised by the Medical Council of India.
Students enrolling from 2019 will be awarded the BMedSc/MD degree to reflect an upgraded Masters level programme. The MD program at Monash Malaysia is equivalent to the Australian direct entry program at the Clayton Campus in Australia. It is a five-year undergraduate entry program with the two preclinical years in the Sunway Campus and the remaining three clinical years in Johor Bahru, in a hospital setting. In the final year, students enrolled in the Malaysian campus will spend 12 weeks in hospitals and clinics in metropolitan Melbourne.
The medical programme in Malaysia has the same entry and exit criteria, same semester start and end dates and the same learning objectives as the Australian programme. At course completion, students graduate with the same Monash testamur.
