CONGRATULATIONS TO THE IUMW DANCE TEAM!
Sanggar Warisan Tari successfully captured the heart of judges and audience alike by winning the 'Judges Special Award' category at 1 World Culture 2016 hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education on November 12 and 13. The team exhibited the colourful traditional dances of B'rantaman (Indonesian Dance) and Zapin.
The 1 World Culture competition provides opportunities for international students of higher education to highlight their cultural diversity through the medium of singing and dancing. A part of learning beyond classrooms, activities such as this promote a healthy lifestyle, good interaction and a sense of belonging among students.
We look forward to having more international students represent the university next year!
